What I've found the most striking in what I've learned is that there are political motivations. The number of patients that I don't see, the lack of actually critically ill due to covid doesn't match the hype. I have been somewhat confused and silenced when asking what this means?

I don't know where you work. And I might have thought as you do in the beginning. Now we are full overflowing in our ICU with extremely ill patient. They may come in awake and aware then become critically ill very fast, intubation, proning...dying. We haven't seen this much death ever.

Katie, I'm kind of confused - what do you mean when you say "there are political motivations"? What are they -- and motivations for what? Where are you practicing and in what setting? That may account for variations in what each of us sees in terms of acuity and numbers.
